““My piece is many mini soft sculptures, each different. As we are all different. They are an assemblage, as we must come together for that which we believe. I chose red to illustrate my belief that underneath it all we are the same and my blood spilled fighting for peace, justice, and equality.”

ARTIST BIO: Star Smart is an American artist whose art has been exhibited, published, and held in museums across The Americas, Europe, and Asia. Her focus is the creation of unconventional sculpture using signature techniques and recycled materials. This opens a dialogue that delves deeply into her life and creative process. Star states, “Though it is difficult it is fulfilling, in the end I want the viewer to experience all I’m exposing of myself.”
