“This work is my warning of the impending doom as society bulldozes the environment. I took a memory of camping as a kid as the basis of the work to comment on the loss of adventure and ecosystems. The fire and tree are imminently about to connect and the clock will run out of time.”
ARTIST BIO: Ian McIlvain creates art to build conversations, cultivate awareness, and further social change. He is an undergrad at Xavier University majoring in Art with concentrations in Painting and Printmaking, plus minors in “Arts Administration” and “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. He explores how art challenges perceptions and serves as a platform for advocacy and awareness.
