“Look around. Who surrounds you? You’re smart and know most lizards are harmless to humans. But some are venomous, aggressive, and can maim and kill. Can you tell the difference? Who are you surrounding yourself with?”
ARTIST BIO: Jimi Jones is a Cincinnati artist and graphic designer. He is a graduate of UC/DAAP and retired after a 27 year career as an art director in charge of display design at Procter & Gamble. He is a founding member of the Neo-Ancestralist art movement with exhibitions at the National Afro-American Museum & Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio, the University of Cincinnati 840 Gallery, Thomas More College, the Arts Consortium of Cincinnati, the Weston Art Gallery at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Harcum Art Gallery at Wilmington College, numerous shows at the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Wilber Jennings Gallery in New York. One man show at the Springfield Museum of Art. Jimi has a studio at the Carl Solway Gallery building in downtown Cincinnati where he is currently working on art for his 2/2/16 one man show at the Springfield Museum of Art.
