“The Geneva Convention has established rules to ensure human dignity in times of war. However, many states choose to systematically ignore these guidelines, including Russia. There have been hundreds of cases reported and documented of Ukrainians being tortured. I hoped to explore this issue deeper through my print.”
ARTIST BIO: Grace Gray’s art explores a variety of themes including the natural world and people’s place in nature. She uses an array of materials including ceramics, paint, and mosaics to explore diversity in art and the world at large. By drawing inspiration from personal experiences, including cultural background and childhood stories, she creates works significant to her.
