“The earth and the world belong to all living creatures, among them humans. In our times of super nationalism and discriminatory control, of violence and wars, of major natural disasters (earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, etc.), those who are affected, poor and vulnerable, forced out of their homes and countries, or trying to find better living conditions elsewhere, are labeled a nuisance, “rapists”, “killers”, less than human… They disrupt the interests and privileges of the greedy and powerful who would like to ignore them, keeping them out of their sight and dealing with their reality as if they did not exist.”
