“A few months before he died Gary Gaffney wrote: “A few individuals like MLKing, Jr., St. Francis of Assisi, Mother Theresa, Jesus, Buddha and Gandhi did not have to search for a sacred space. They lived in it. They saw the world through it. Most of us struggle to decide if we have the courage
to find one of our own.”
Gary, however, did find and lived in his sacred space during his living; now he resides eternally in it. We miss you Gary!!!”

ARTIST BIO: Gary Gaffney was Professor Emeritus at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, where he
taught both academic and studio courses. He exhibited his work nationally and
internationally and authored five books. Gary passed away 2/14/2025.
