shells, string, laminated map of the Gulf, wooden spools, tray; 12x24x3″
“Walking along the Gulf of Mexico I found shells engraved by the water elements which I think is the Gulf trying to tell us to clean up our act and make it clean for them to live in and therefore good for the rest of us. We have the responsibility to keep our world safe and healthy.”
ARTIST BIO: Karalyn Kavanaugh does not often make art which is environmentally current. She mostly paints watercolor flowers and houses and craft books for journaling. “Shells from the Gulf Of Mexico” came to her while walking on the beach. Perhaps the Gulf is communicating with us. What do you think?
