“Instead of building walls, I am interested in using art and crafts to build BRIDGES with our neighbors. The teapot is considered a symbol of friendship and hospitality. I made this teapot as a gift and token of goodwill to a fellow potter who lives and works in Ontario, Canada.”
ARTIST BIO: Ken Swinson is a multi-disciplinary artist from rural Kentucky. He believes that art transcends languages, borders, and cultures — a tool for building friendships and greater understanding between different people. He is currently the artist-in-residence at the historic Dr. William Goforth house in Old Washington, KY and also maintains a studio at the Pendleton Art Center in Cincinnati.
