“An interpretation of an imaginary artwork described in “The Ambrose J. and Vivian T. Seagrave Museum of 20th Century American Art/A Novel” by Matthew Kirkpatrick (published by Acre Books/UC). The novel is told through a description of imaginary artworks. The book’s editor asked me to create a painting based on one of these artworks. It depicts two viewpoints of war: the victorious and the broken.”
