water-media on canvas; 30x40x2”
“In my paintings in water-media, there is no preconceived subject matter. Any narrative aspects come about as part of the process of painting. As the helmet forms came through, I saw the heads of soldiers and imagined that the painting might be a commentary about the absurdity of maintaining peace through inflicting death and destruction.”
