ARTIST BIO: Connie Springer is a watercolor artist with a penchant for storytelling. She is also a photographer, and in both media exhibits a keen visual sense and an abiding interest in people. Connie studies watercolor with Kentucky artist Ken Landon Buck and has been a longtime member of the Art Circle studio at Cincinnati’s Essex Studios. She graduated from Oberlin College in sociology and from 1973 to 1977 lived in Louisville, working for the Kentucky Department for Human Services as a social worker and taking art classes at the Louisville School of Art. In 1977 she moved east to study photography at the Art Institute of Boston and then completed a master’s degree in library science at Simmons College. Connie authored two books featuring her photos and writing ~ OUR FAMILIES: A Celebration of Adoption, and POSITIVELY NINETY: Interviews with Lively Nonagenarians.
