“‘Mathare My Brother’ illustrates the extra judicial police murder of Vitallis Ochillo Owino that took place during the curfew during Covid in Kenya 4th May 2020. Main characters are family and friends totems, including Vitallis’ five children on the pedestal and his wife looking at the cart. The other Vigil Totems represent many others killed or disabled during the Kenya Curfew during Covid.”
