“The king of Avondale is based off my neighbor, Tai, but is not exclusive of him. He has done most everything right and yet still struggles to survive. The environment of poverty and violence forces a being to adapt differently than ‘society’ preferences while having to survive in the surroundings ‘society’ forces.”
ARTIST BIO: Hannah Peacock is a self taught artist and storyteller who focuses on found and repurposed materials. Before getting a BS in Environmental Science, she studied linguistics and astronomy in Tucson. It was there Joesph Campbell was introduced, her greatest teacher. Following JC’s words “in order for something new, something old must be destroyed”, Hannah seeks to find what she needs with what she has by practicing a variety of mediums.
