“The art form and cultural phenomenon of drag is under attack by current conservative forces who are attempting to legislate it away. They argue that drag corrupts children. This piece imagines a world in which some of those older suited white men enjoy a boardroom drag show in pursuit of selecting an imaginary drag museum’s beautiful exhibits.”

ARTIST BIO: Laura is a resident of Cincinnati, OH, and a lifelong lover and collector of vintage books and paper. She started taking collage classes at Kennedy Heights Arts Center in 2023. Armed with the new knowledge that it is okay to cut up things and tear out pages from those old books, she has been able to combine her old love with her new interest in collage. She dreams of opening a collective collage studio space one day.
