“My piece is about the power of mother nature and how it can reclaim anything over time. Through the toxic and dangerous environments, nature takes over and adapts to its surroundings.

ARTIST BIO: “Most of the work Abril Huerta creates is focused on her personal experiences as a queer Latina living in a world of chaos. She strives to connect with her audiences using horror imagery and to express her experiences and views of the world. Abril does a lot of her illustrations digitally, however she also creates mixed media collages and silk screenprint.”
