ARTIST BIO: Jan Brown Checco is a Cincinnati-based studio artist, conceptual designer, and art director who convenes professional artists for experiential projects. Her public art accomplishments include design and direction of The Black Brigade Monument at Smale Riverfront Park, the CROWN Tiara Bench at Yeatman’s Cove, the handcrafted mosaic tiles installation at the Friendship Pavilion in Berry International Friendship Park, and mosaic ground inlays in Munich, Germany and Liuzhou, China. Preferred mediums are ceramics, paint, and found object assemblage.
