ARTIST BIO: Claire Marcus has a special interest in landscape’s power to evoke narrative and memory. Her award winning book and paper works are exhibited internationally, and held in public and private collections. Claire holds an MFA in painting and BA in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied with painter Rackstraw Downes and photographer Rudy Burckhardt. Born and raised in Cincinnati/New York City, she lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
