“Many times I’ve had a conversation with someone that has given me a new perspective on an idea, event, philosophy, etc. when I thought I’d considered all sides. That experience led to the creation of this piece. The bit of turquoise on one of the pages is the “spark” that gets the internal conversation started again.”

ARTIST BIO: When Jo Diamantes was in the Greater Cincinnati Calligraphy Guild many years ago a fellow member gave her a small handmade book. She fell in love with the book and the idea of handmade books. She found and joined CBAS. Bookmaking is wonderful because it allows the creator to pursue calligraphy, watercolor, printmaking, photography and many other related arts as all might be used in the making of a book.
