ARTIST BIO: Gloria McConnaghy’s background includes years as a nurse working and living in several countries. Her role as a public health professional took her to Colombia, Fuji, Tuvalu, and Bhutan. Her job with Peace Corps and Save the Children was to create health educational materials mostly visual. Returning to Cincinnati after many years, she switched careers and started a retail import shop known as Mahatma. After 24 years she retired and has been working on jewelry design and visual art. Gloria’s work has been shown in many venues including SOS ART, Mullane and Ruth Parkside Cafes. She returned to study at the Art Academy until the evil pandemic struck.
