“This painting depicts an immigrant boat accident that I witnessed at Point Loma, California. I want to acknowledge the 3 individuals that drowned during the incident. It is important for us to be aware of the humanitarian crisis that is happening at our southern border. This is just one of many incidents, and I encourage the viewer to make a stand for new legislation that does not involve any more human exploitation, or death in our free nation. Upon purchase, 10% of proceeds will go to Mexico International Committee of the Red Cross.”

ARTIST BIO: Through his visual works, Wesley Ericson wants to imply states of the human condition, discovering what aspects of life he gravitates towards, based on his subjective observations. This is where he begins to correlate meaning in expressive use of touch and color to communicate these realizations; and in the process, encompassing far more than the perception of reality, but intertwining intrinsic themes of time, placement, and relationships.
