“Back in the height of the 1960’s-70’s and the height of the Vietnam War, when I transformed from a high achieving High School academic to a high achieving hippie, I also leaned heavily on my poetic writings for mental solace. This anti-violence plea, originally black text on white background, reflects the shape of the Woodstock peace dove. In its original, I included it in my underground newspaper, “misgivings”, while a cadet at the US Coast Guard Academy. In this digitally enhanced form, it is included in the art publication, “Art For Peace”, International Cultural Management.”
