ink drawing on acetate; each 20x35x4″

“Made of ink drawings on multiple acetate sheets, News series explores simultaneously unfolding world events through selective tracing and overlapping of images from daily news. I think of tracing as a way of excavating fragments of events hidden behind the main story and creating linkage among seemingly unrelated events. This is my personal way of digesting daily news and gaining an insight into an overwhelming flow of events and visual information. Natural and man-made disasters, polarized political landscape in America, wars, tragic plane crashes, Olympic games, pandemic, scientific explorations and discoveries, sports events, are some of the recurring events in my ink drawing series.”
