cut paper collage; 41×21″
“’Greta’ was born from a deep admiration of Thunberg’s hope in contrast to a personal deep sense of exhaustion at humanity’s impact on our natural environment. Her youthful face, coupled with her praying hands, are brought to life using 1” squares cut from the historic archive of photos “The Best of Life”, and from two books of photographs from the National Geographic Society. Look closely and see babies, old people, the moon mission, chimps, tigers, fish, trees and oceans. Every moment of work was in honor of Greta and her work—truly a labor of love.”
